Alexia is a writer and award-winning journalist who was born in Kuwait and grew up in Egypt and the U.S.
She attended the University of California, Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and studied Arabic at the American University of Cairo. She’s worked as an editor for Vox and an executive producer for Al Jazeera. Her words have appeared in The Guardian, The Nation, The Paris Review Daily and many other publications.
Alexia recently earned an MFA from The New School and attended the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and received support from the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference. She’s currently at work on a book.
